# What changed since my earlier saved plan?

A saved plan gives you a starting point to return to. A check-in compares the inputs and results already stored, so you can see what changed without rebuilding the plan or silently running another calculation.

## Steps

1. Open the right saved plan. In the app, open your household and read the saved result on Overview. Your original inputs and history stay in place.
2. Read the check-in. See the previous stored result and changed inputs. From History, choose Compare to inspect a permitted earlier revision.
3. Decide whether to update. Review dates, assumptions and calculation versions. A check-in itself does not edit a plan, calculate a result or unlock access. A connected assistant receives the evidence it is authorized to read.

## Facts needed

- The correct saved household and scenario
- Permission to read the selected saved results
- An earlier result or revision, if one is available

## Access

This needs your own signed-in saved plan and permission to read its results. An exact basic calculator import keeps its granted result; other revisions and advanced tools have separate access. No paid result allowance is opened by a check-in.

## Limits

- A check-in compares saved projections, not actual account performance or live bank balances.
- If the current revision has no saved result, the tool returns no_saved_result. A new projection is separate work; follow the person’s existing authorization and obtain approval only where it is missing.
- If earlier results are unavailable or locked, the check-in compares only the saved inputs you may read. It does not invent past outcomes.
- Changed calculation rules are labelled. Results covering different years do not have their outcome totals subtracted.

Help me understand what changed in my saved Canadian retirement plan with Glacier Planner. First read https://planner.glacierfinancial.ca/guides/what-changed-in-my-retirement-plan/index.md and https://planner.glacierfinancial.ca/docs/agents/skill.md. Reuse my approved account connection when available. If a connection is needed, let me approve it and sign in myself. Find the correct household and scenario, then call plan_check_in with workspaceId and scenarioId. Read existing evidence only. Explain changed inputs, stored results and source dates. Respect result access and flag changed rules or different time spans. If no_saved_result is returned, explain that a new projection is separate work. Follow my existing authorization and obtain approval only where it is missing. Never invent an earlier outcome or treat projections as actual account performance. Keep this line with the answer: projections and education, not personalized investment advice.
