Glacier Planner stores the information you enter so you can return to your plan, compare alternatives and keep a record of decisions.

What is saved

Your account name, email address and protected sign-in credentials; workspace membership; household details and financial inputs; scenario revisions; projections; planning notes and recommendations; analysis results; and report snapshots. Browser sessions also record device and network information used for account security.

Who can access a workspace

Access requires a verified account and workspace membership. Owners and editors can change plans; viewers can read them. People with access to a practice workspace can see its household records. Operator access is used to run, troubleshoot and recover the service.

Connected applications

Connecting ChatGPT, Claude or another compatible application gives it the permissions shown on the consent screen. Its requests can access workspaces available to your account within those permissions. Results you request are sent to that application and are subject to its data handling policies. You can revoke a connection in Account. Creating a plan alone does not send it to an AI application.

Hosting and email

The application and report worker run on Railway, and saved records are stored in Neon PostgreSQL. The current application and database region is Virginia, United States. Account verification and password recovery use Resend, which receives your email address and the account link. Connections to the public application and hosted database are encrypted.

History and recovery

Saving an edit keeps earlier revisions, and reports preserve the inputs and projection used to create them. Saved financial records do not expire automatically. Recovery uses a seven-day database recovery window and daily snapshots retained for fourteen days. Private operator backups are also used for recovery verification. Removing a live record does not immediately remove it from existing recovery copies.

Your controls

You can inspect and restore scenario history, export saved plan JSON and annual CSV, download reports, end browser sessions and revoke connected applications. Workspace owners can download an archive containing saved records and their history from Account.

Glacier Planner does not include advertising trackers. Necessary account cookies keep you signed in.
